Aung Myint Thu: Collecting Peace Letter Support From Ministers of Myanmar- 2018
Date: July-22-2018
I have been collecting the signature
of ministers in Myanmar, with a purpose of supporting International Peace
Youth Group (IPYG-http://www.ipyg.kr/), as one of the wings of HWPL that
is Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration Of Light- with peace and respect for life as its core values,
HWPL transcends culture, religion, ideology, and other boundaries to achieve
peaceful harmony in the global society. (http://hwpl.kr/) HWPL is committed to bringing world peace and
cessation of war through the establishment of an enforceable law compatible
with the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War(DPCW) and the World Alliance
of Religions’ Peace(WARP) offices. Women and youth involved with HWPL’s
peace initiatives play a significant role in both peace building and conflict
resolution in their respective communities as active proponents of peace. HWPL
promotes the worldwide network to strengthen individual, organization, and
government action to leave and realize the legacy of peace. Your participation
and interest is understood that it will be a tremendous importance in making
this world a better place to live.
International
Peace Youth Group (IPYG), has collected ‘peace letters’ from
government officials, social representatives, and citizens. Young people, from 84 cities
in 50 countries, write peace
letters to presidents of each country. Until the president writes signature at DPCW! The wind of peace is already blowing all over the
world. ‘World peace and restoration has begun at the same time this declaration
is proclaimed.’, the Declaration of world peace. If 4,600,000 young people (IPYG) cry out for
peace, what do you think will happen next? There
will be an enormous wind. HWPL has
been carried out to advocate peace-building led by grassroots such as youth,
citizens, civic groups, and media to call for all to work together as peace
messengers. Peace Letter of the HWPL is to become a issue.
We meet and request ministers to sign
at Peace Support Letter if they believe in Peace Making. Their signatures are
being collected and sent to HWPL. This year, 2018 in July, I collected from
Three ministers (U Naing Ngan Lin (Social
Affair/ Rangoon Ragion), (Naw Pwe Say, Karen Ethnic Minister, Nationality:
Karen, Bago Division) & (Daw San Wint Khine, Minister for Paoh Ethnic
Affair, Mon State). They seem very glad
that they have this opportunity to have their sign at Peace Support Letter. These
three ministers are the ministers I often meet in conferences or Forums. Since
2016, I have had opportunities to meet them. Now, as I become a
special nominated representative for Social Sector Development at UPDJC ( Union
Peace Dialogue Joint Committee) of Union Peace Conference-Union Peace
Conference - 21st Century Panglong - Third Session- which is the top
Political Dialogue in Myanmar, there is more times to meet and have
conversations with these ministers.
Since last year, 2017, HWPL has invited me to South-Korean for it world Summit- in September https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZkWnFD4UKlM, by sending invitation letter of " the 4th Annual Commemoration of the September 18th World Alliance of Religions Peace (WARP) Summit from September 17 - 19, 2018, in Seoul, Republic of Korea" - which is this year invitation. The Summit has been held annually since 2014, providing a platform for leaders in politics, religion, youth and women’s groups, journalism, and civil society around the world to discuss the ideas and practices required to achieve peace, a common goal of the global community.
Heavenly
Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) is an international
non-profit organization, registered under the UN DPI and UN ECOSOC, working for
peace. With the passion for peace alone, Mr. Man Hee Lee, the chairman of HWPL
has travelled the world as many as 28 times urging world leaders to unite in
peace. The reason I support HWPL and the
DPCW more than anything else is because it has the solution that can actually
achieve peace.
Since 2015, HWPL
has been making persistent efforts towards establishing the World Alliance of
Religions' Peace (WARP) Office Meetings for harmony amongst different religions
and has held youth peace camps to educate young people on peace and coexistence
without war in order for future generations to inherit a peaceful world. Our
young people of Myanmar who dearly want peace also are working to spread a
culture of peace with the IPYG, an HWPL-affiliated organization, by
participating in various activities such as Peace Walks, Peace Drawing
Contests, and peace seminars.
Mr. Man Hee Lee,
the Chairman of HWPL visited Myanmar to make it known for Myanmar people who
have longed for peace that there is a definite answer for achieving peace.
Composed of 10 Articles and 38 Clauses, the Declaration of Peace and Cessation
of War (DPCW) of HWPL contains fundamental resolutions for alliance of
religions and cessation of war, which are the initiatives that HWPL is working
on. The DPCW can make it possible to stop all conflicts that take away our
rights and lead the whole world towards harmony and peace.
