World Peace Summit 2019 of Heavenly Culture , World Peace Restoration of
Light ( HWPL), which is based in Korea was held at Taw Win Garden Hotel
on Pyay Road, Yangon.
I (Aung Myint Thu) gave a speech, supporting DPCW and how much it is important, especially explaining what the Peace Letter Writing is. The letters are sent to national leaders to support DPCW.
At the event, Mayor of Yangon U Maung Maung Soe
delivered a key note speech, and Yangon Region Minister for Social
Affairs U Naing Ngan Lin and Publicity Ambassador of HWPL gave peace
speech. Then, a video on the performance of HWPL and a video on
declaration of peace and cessation of war were presented. Afterwards,
law concerning Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War and peace
letter was read.
Then, peace letters were collected and recorded, and Memorandum of Understanding between HWPL and Sitagu Buddhist University was signed. U Naing Ngan Lin said “ Upon studying Declaration of Peace and Cessation, I noticed that it was planned systematically for the world to live with peace. Much work is to be done for world’s acceptance. We are collaborators. We can see them work for Myanmar too. When it gains momentum, even if it does not directly effective for world peace, it will be of great help”
The summit was held by HWPL, International Women’s Peace Group(IWPG), International Peace Youth Group (IPYG) with the aim of bringing peace to Myanmar. This event was attended by minsters, mayor, peace activists, religion leaders and political leaders.
