I was visiting many different townships with Harry, 72, years old Garman, who was looking for his Rakhine friends whom he met in 1986 and 1990 in Chittagong hill. I was helping in arranging the people he would like to meet. He met five of his friends he met in Chittagone. One of the friends who he would like to meet is also Daw Saw Mra Razarlin who is currently at Union Peace Conference (UPC), building peace.
This photo was taken in AungSeik village, Rathadaung township, where Daw Saw Mra Razarlin, leader of Rakhine Women Union who is also known as a rebel woman fighting for Freedom of Rakhine/Arakan state, was born in. This is her village so Harry would like to visit her village and then, we together can go there, with a special permission by security minister of Rakhine.
With the man, Harry, we went to many other townships: Sitttway, Rathadaung, Ponnarkyon, KyaungTaw and Mrauk-Oo. It is his very first time to Myanmar but he just spent his time on visiting Rakhine. It is very sad that he always said " it is my last trip"- meaning that he is old enough so that he will not be able to travel anymore. It had been 10 years that he didnot travel but after organizations like Mra Razarlin has always working on peace with Myanmar government, he wants to meet her and he was also invited by Saw Mra Razarlin.
I was treveling with him showing around Rakhine state.
