Being the Team Leader (Aung Myint Thu) Social Sector Development -May 2018

Why I am sitting here and supporting Peace Process! - May 2018.

From 15 to 18 in May 2018, I become the team leader of Social Sector Development of an organization, supporting social sector- which has IDPs/Refugee, Education, Health issue. My team- Social Sector- has 7 leaders and I am the team leader of them. On 15 May, I was given the position by Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) organization/Peace Process Stakeholder- ALP.   This is not a easy work. Learn more about it

For an organization named " Arakan Liberation Party (ALP) which started sitting down with the Government and its army since 2012 would like me include in the discussion for PEACE,  I loved to support for Social Sector Development. Since then, I have been participating. I have learned many good things and bad things. I gain a lot of experience. In May 2018, ALP invited all the  leaders/participants of the peace working group of the party to sit and work together on all sectors-  (A) Political Affairs, (B)  social Affairs, (C)  Economic Affairs, (D)  Security Affairs, (E) Policies on Land and Natural Environmental Affairs.

Now,  Myanmar is still very busy, working on Ethnic Conflict and Ethnic Armed Organizations- EAOs. Since the 2008 Constitution is not what most of people like or which has lots of general words, this should be developed or new constitution book be written.

Some people who are in power do not like to develop or write new book. Thus, EAOs really understand the situation about those people in power.  Every state, many people become IDPs/Refugee or die everyday for the Ethnic Armed Organizations are fighting against those people in power.

We need a solution to end these ethnic conflicts. Thus, later, the government started meeting with EAOs, negotiating at the table, where they sit together and discuss about the development of the country. Here, in 2016/7, I was learning about them by many ways, working at the Documentation Group. In 2017, I was invited to sit down with them.
