AMT: Meeting Daughter of The Right Honourable U Kyaw Nyein: Daw Cho Cho Kyaw Nyein at Dinner Party: UPC- 11-July 2018

With Daw Cho Cho Nyein (Daughter of The Right Honourable U Kyaw Nyein, Burmese Politician/ Minister)
I had about two hours, having a wonderful time sharing about our live-history: Daw Cho Cho Nyein talked about her father, all well-known Burmese political leaders in the Anti-Fascist People's Freedom Leagueworking for Myanmar/Burma.

When I came into the dinner hall, I was looking for someone who would seem friendly and I sat down at a table after a few minutes. Then, she just looked at me and started chatting. I was really happy. Then, right the way, she started speaking in English. AWWW ! She spoke really good English. Then, we asked each other where we learned English. She talked about her family and prison life; she was arrested for a political reason. She talked about her father and the state counselor- Daw Aung San Su Kyi who is her best friend and her father was the best friend of General Aung San whose daughter is Daw Aung San Su Kyi. Daw Cho is a very active woman, politician, working at Democratic Party (Myanmar) which is a political party in Myanmar(Burma), founded in 1988. It was formally registered in May 2010.  The party's secretaries, Mya Than Than Nu and Cho Cho Kyaw Nyein, are the daughters of U Nu (former prime minister) and Kyaw Nyein (former deputy prime minister).

Her father was the former deputy prime minister when she was young.  He served as Deputy Prime Minister of Burma from 1948 to 1949 and again from 1953 to 1958. He was also the first Burmese Home Affairs Minister from 1947 to 1948 and the second Foreign Affairs Minister from 1948 to 1949 after independence and General Secretary of his party from 1946 to 1958 as a Socialist Staunch leader in Anti-Fascist People's Freedom League from 1946 to 1958 until the split in the party. From 1 July 1954 to 25 March 1968, he served as the first governor of Central Bank of Myanmar.  He subsequently became a leader of the Stable AFPFL faction alongside Ba Swe. He was arrested in 1963 after Ne Win's 1962 coup and released in 1968.

I was really curious asking about her prison life too. After one hour, President U Win Myint and State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi began cordially greeting the attendees, us. Then, our conversation stopped for a while. Do you want to know more about this? It is still a very long history!
